- Thanks to the short knobs on the tread, the Thunder Burt rolls very smoothly on straights.
- The tall knobs on the sidewalls of the Thunder Burt provide plenty of grip and control for sharp cornering.
- The flexible Super Ground carcass offers full protection against cuts thanks to the SnakeSkin fabric.
- Addix Speed is robust and durable and guarantees very low rolling resistance.
- TLE (TubeLess Easy) technology makes the tyres easy to make tubeless with 90ml of latex sealant per tyre.
- Tubeless sealant should generally be topped up every 3-6 months.
- The Super Ground carcass is slightly less supple and slightly heavier than the Super Race carcass, yet offers better puncture protection.

These weight indications have been provided by the manufacturer; they may differ from the actual weight when you weigh the tyre yourself at home. This deviation is usually small and is due to the production process.
The Addix Speed rubber compound can be recognised by the red stripe across the tyre. As this compound for cross-country racers has very low rolling resistance, it will make its rider fly over the trails. And taking this low rolling resistance into consideration, the Addix Speed is very robust and durable.
Super Ground
With the Super Ground carcass, Schwalbe has further improved the SnakeSkin construction. This lightweight and flexible carcass has a SnakeSkin layer from bead to bead which offers full protection against cuts and punctures and keeps the weight down. The ultramodern Super Ground can therefore be used in many different disciplines, from XC to All Mountain. The Super Ground is the ultimate carcass for a combination of low weight, suppleness and puncture protection. So you'll have nothing to worry about when you're racing along the fastest trails.
Tubeless Easy
Schwalbe are firmly convinced that tubeless riding is the tyre technology of the future. And so they ensure that all mountain bike tyres bearing the TLE mark are optimised for riding without inner tubes. The construction of the carcass also makes the fitting process easier.

The better gravel tyre
The tyre could be installed a little tightly, but holds the air overnight even without milk, rolls great and is very comfortable, on asphalt you have to pedal a little more, but all in all a very pleasant, fast XC tyre

In the assessment phase
My purchase is intended for a 170 km Gravel outing in June, half road, half track. I've never used this type of tyre before, as I only ride mountain bikes with studs.

Fast-rolling tyre in dry conditions.
Perfect tyre for "ultragravel" on dry roads. Fast rolling. Can take some mud but it is definitely not a bad-weather tyre

Excellent on the road!
I had no trouble fitting these tyres to my 29" wheels. I had hesitated to buy them because of some comments saying that they were very difficult to fit... but I didn't have that problem. They put up almost no resistance when you're riding and therefore require less effort to pedal... on straights I went like a rocket (I mainly ride on tarmac roads). I'm really happy with my purchase.
